First off, we would like to congratulate the new Utah State Overall Champions Rusty Razor and Anita Gunn. It’s a proud day for any one person to achieve this feat but, to do it as husband and wife is truly amazing. YOU TWO DESERVE THIS FOR YOUR HARD WORK. Congratulations from all of us at W.D.
Now to current business.
The Wahsatch Desperadoes will NOT be shooting this weekend. Instead we will be spending the morning promoting cowboy action shooting in Utah. How you ask? Well I’m glad you did, we will be participating in the Morgan County Fair/Parade on Saturday July 28th. We welcome anyone who wants to come be a part of this event. We are doing a hayride float so we’re not actually building anything, but we will have a trailer with bales of hay on it. We will put blankets on the hay and fill the trailer with cowboys and cowgirls. We will have signs from SASS (thanks to Misty Moonshine and the crew) as well as candy and badges for the kids. This will also give us a chance to promote the NEW cowboy club in Moran, UT.
Here are the details:
8:30am We will meet at the Morgan County Fairgrounds/River Bridge RV Park
805 E Como Springs Rd Site #28 Morgan, UT 84050
9:00am We will head over and get in line for the parade.
The parade starts at 10am.
Directly after the parade we meet back at our place for lunch.
So far, we have about 18 cowboys and cowgirls participating in the parade.
Please email me or text me if you are interested the more the merrier…..
Update on the new club in Morgan. The bays are finished, and we will start moving in storage crates on Sunday any help is appreciated. We have plenty of trailers to move crates just need some cowboy power to move them when we get to the range.
August 3rd and 4th we will be doing a Kids with Cowboys lunch at the Morgan County Fair. Aug 4th we will have a Cowboy Action Shooting Booth. Any help is welcome for any day.
We will be shooting on the 1st Saturday of every month. Yes, I know this conflicts with the Utah Territory Gunslingers, but we had to pick a weekend, and Big Salty pretty much owns them all. This is not a competition but “another” way to bring cowboys to the game. This is a WIN for everyone the more members we get, the more state shooters we all get. Everyone should be thinking of ways to grow the sport so it lasts for our kids, grand-kids and beyond. This can only happen by all of us working to make it better as a whole.
Range Address: 870 E Mahogany Ridge Road, Morgan, Utah 84050
The first match at the Morgan Range is September 1st. Registration is at 8am shooting starts at 9am.
